5120 Q&T is 5120 heat treated to Q&T — through-hardened low-carbon martensite for small tough parts where full case hardening is not required. 5120 Q&T has a yield strength of 640 MPa (92.8 ksi) and a tensile strength of 830 MPa (120 ksi) — stronger than 79% of steel grades. Elongation at break is 16% and the elastic modulus is 205 GPa (29.7 Msi). 5120 Q&T has a density of 7.85 g/cm³ (0.284 lb/in³), heavier than 56% of steel grades. It melts at 1,420°C (2,588 °F).
